Hrishikesh Sharan
He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Physics from Patna University. He joined the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Central Excise) in 1975 and later obtained an LLB from Kolkata University, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Operational Research.
A scholar and author, he has been deeply engaged in studying the life and teachings of the Buddha for over 37 years. His notable literary contributions include Hindi translations of The Light of Asia by Sir Edwin Arnold—Jagadaradhya Tathagata (Poetry, 2007) and Asia Ki Jyoti (Prose, 2009)—as well as Dhammapada: Gatha & Katha (2010). He edited an English prose edition of The Light of Asia (2012) and authored Mantras of Mathematics (2011).
A member of the Theosophical Society since his college days, he has extensively travelled across India and internationally, including Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Singapore, Australia, Holland, and Bhutan. He has delivered lectures on Holistic Management, The Life and Message of the Buddha, and Secrets of Success in Mathematics and Life. In 1994, he also led the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as a Liaison Officer.
