Organized by the World Federation of Young Theosophists (WFYT)
Participants: TS members until 40 years old
The WFYT international convention of young theosophists will take place from 27-30 December 2024 in the TS headquarters, Adyar (India). This will be an occasion to connect with fellow young like-minded brothers and sisters coming from different countries and continents who hold dear the essence of Theosophy, and who try to embrace it and bring it to Life, day by day.
In each successive international gathering stronger friendships are being forged and a larger spiritual family is expanding with a deeper sense of universal unity. You are welcome to join!
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Many of us have experienced the calming, peaceful, uplifting character of sacred spaces, perhaps in a church, a favorite spot in nature, an ancient site of pilgrimage and worship—and especially at the International Headquarters of the Theosophical Society at Adyar. In these sacred spaces, it seems that our inner and outer worlds, the soul and body, come together and we feel restored and whole. In this program, we will explore the outer characteristics of sacred places, such as the many forms they take, as well as their inner characteristics, including the energies and beings that sustain them. Three morning lectures, with Q/A, will present the theory and practice of creating and caring for sacred spaces. During three afternoon workshops, we “go into the field,” exploring the monuments and gardens of the Adyar Campus, as well as the exteriors and interiors of temples and other buildings, seeking to identify their characteristics as sacred spaces and how they might best be cared for. The program concludes on the final day with a workshop on creating our own sacred spaces.
GUEST SPEAKER:
Based on Boston, USA. Kurt Leland is an international lecturer for the Theosophical Society (Adyar). A practicing clairvoyant for more than forty years, he specializes in the so-called third object of the Theosophical Society: the investigation of unknown laws of nature and the powers latent in humanity. He has edited an anthology entitled Invisible Worlds: Annie Besant on Psychic and Spiritual Development and published books on out-of-body experiences (Otherwhere: A Field Guide for Astral Travelers), near-death experiences (The Unanswered Question: Death, Near-Death, and the Afterlife), and our latent powers (The Multidimensional Human: Practices for Psychic Development and Astral Projection).
