Madame Blavatsky chose as her last printed contribution to the world a book on transformational mysticism. The Voice of the Silence, published in 1889, contains profound teachings for those students who aspire to tread the Bodhisattva Path, the path of compassionate renunciation for the benefit of the world.
In this course we will examine important verses from the Three Fragments of HPB’s book–The Voice of the Silence, The Two Paths and The Seven Portals – in a spirit of meditative and interactive enquiry, seeking to explore the depths of such precious teachings.
Theosophy suggests that the Bodhisattva nature is imprisoned deep within us, prevented from coming to the fore by thick layers of conditioning, self-centredness and unawareness. The teachings of The Voice of the Silence can lead to that life-altering awakening, when one becomes an embodiment of boundless Compassion and Wisdom.

FACILITATORS
LINDA OLIVEIRA is a second-generation Theosophist who joined the Theosophical Society in Australia in 1971 after hearing some talks by the philosopher, J. Krishnamurti. Later, her degree at the Australian National University focused mainly on psychology and political science. She was the National President of the Theosophical Society in Australia, as well as Editor of its national magazine, for a total of sixteen years during two periods, the second of which was completed in January 2021. Linda was the International Vice-President of the Theosophical Society from October 2008 until late 2011, serving two and a half years of this
period at Adyar, the Society’s International Headquarters in India, before returning to live in Australia. She has lectured and given study classes for the TS in various countries. Linda

ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF THE WISDOM
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The School of the Wisdom aims at bringing each student to survey life ‘from the centre’, which is intuitive awareness. There can be no Wisdom without an ever-increasing sense of Wonder. Essential in the progress towards Wisdom is a growing intimacy with all aspects of Nature.
The SOW was inaugurated in 1949 by C. Jinarajadasa, the fourth International President of the TS, to revive the 1922 Adyar School initiated by Annie Besant. This school was named Brahmavidyā Āśrama, which has almost the same meaning as the School of the Wisdom.
