Dr Hemant Desai
is an Indian Classical Musician trained on the Sitar by the late Smt. Annapurna Devi and was her student from 1976 till she expired in 2018. Smt. Annapurna Devi was the daughter and disciple of the late Acharya Allauddin Khan founder of the modern Maihar Gharana. She was the first wife of the late Pandit Ravi Shankar. 

 He views his music as an offering to the Divine, which is demonstrated by the purity, depth and patience with which he expresses himself on his instrument and brings each note to life. He relishes the opportunity to share this sentiment with interested listeners. Further, in order to disseminate the in-depth knowledge that he has acquired over decades, Dr. Desai teaches Indian Classical Music in Pune to both National and International students (http://www.craqit.com/artist/5602).
